According to the United Nations, 42% of African school children will drop out before the end of primary education. They sadly drop out of school simply because their parents are unable to pay tuition and school related costs. No child should be denied the right to education - not in this day and age.
Education is a key component in bringing real and lasting change in Cameroon. Poverty and its related challenges contribute to high dropout rates. Therefore, one of the goals of Ong Africa Association is to create opportunities for promising but impoverished African children and youths through scholarships.
The “Promise of Hope” Scholarship Program was established to provide assistance and expand educational opportunities for children and youth. Our goal is to help ensure that they are able to pursue their educational dreams.
YOU can help provide the needed scholarships to Cameroonian youth so that they can stay in school. Your donation will help pay tuition and related school costs. Your support has significant long term impact on helping youth to become educated productive adults.
Help Provide a Quality EducationIn Cameroon and Central Africa
Education is the key to unlocking the golden door of freedom for all in Africa.
It is the bedrock of social and economic development. The quality of education that children receive is affected to a very large degree by the supporting environment. This environment includes the access to essential learning materials - books and school supplies. We additionally help keep kids in school by providing scholarships – covering school-related and other costs.
- As little as $10 can provide exercise books to 10 children.
- Or sign up for a monthly donation of $30 and you will be helping to educate a child - making a difference, each and every single month.
